Nestled up on Windmill Hill next to the woods, our newcomers enjoy all the creature comforts our Highway Hill guests have come to enjoy. They are 5m bell tents that can sleep up to 4 adults each, comprising 1 double bed and 2 single beds. The single beds can also be turned into chairs when not in use.
Fully furnished with colourful, comfy bed linen, soft, bright cushions, thick rugs and warm throws, you will stay cosy whatever the weather. Fairy lights and bunting complete the ambience to create a truly magical experience for both adults and children, or couples who want to get away from it all. Each bell tents has its own BBQ/fire-pit and table and chairs, so whether you want to cook up a storm or enjoy the fire in the evenings, we have you covered.
Our pop up Windmill Hill site has hot showers and brand spanking new portable style toilets, all for your convenience whilst staying with us. There is a small communal outdoor kitchen which has a fridge freezer, gas hobs, and all the cutlery, cooking utensils, pans, plates, cups etc for you to use. Then finally, our ‘pièce de résistance’ is our large communal fire-pit, perfect for chatting with friends, old and new, and making the most of our wonderful great outdoors.
Please note the bell tents do not have electric hookup and we have minimal power up on the hill as we try to remain as off-grid as possible, but there will be charging points for mobile phones in the communal area. As the site is temporary and we strive to make minimal impact on the land, we kindly ask guests to take their rubbish away with them where possible.
Peggy and Guy are available on weeknights on a 4 night minimum basis (Mon-Fri) and at the weekend for a 3 night minimum (Fri-Mon). We of course welcome longer bookings!
