We loved the shepherds huts! Especially Daphnis & Chloe. It was a luxury to be staying somewhere so well equipped and yet feel like we were enjoying ‘the great outdoors’! We also loved the wonderful tour Dave gave us of his rescue animals – this was a magical way to spend Sunday morning. The showers, loos, huts, kitchen – everything – were immaculately clean which was much appreciated. Such care and thought had been put into equipping the shepherds huts, we couldn’t fault them!

The peacefulness, open space and simple yet with all the essentials [was the best thing about our stay]. We have loved the children playing and exploring without any of the modern uses (TVs/iPads) and we had fun playing with them – which gets forgotten. Everything was clean, tents were cosy, bedlinen very warm and luxurious. Brilliant that so much is provided – lighting/barbeque/towels/chairs. The woodburner was lovely, staff friendly and helpful.

Meeting Dave was a highlight, who let us take goats out for a walk and hold some of the rabbits and guinea pigs. He was so knowledgeable and welcoming to our girls, very kind and gave us his time, a massive asset to this site. Many thanks

The best thing about our stay was alpaca walking and feeding the lambs with Dave. Excellent shower and toilet facilities. Beautifully clean, comfy and cosy accommodation. Helpful and friendly staff. We have had a tremendous stay here, Dave is a real asset and all of the family loved the sunset alpaca walk. We will be back!

The shepherds huts – brilliantly thought through an equipped with everything we needed for a cosy and comfy stay. And Heather’s food – fantastic, a real treat! Wonderful place – we feel lucky to have found it and we hope to come back with the kids and grandparents. Thank you!

Thank you for such a lovely weekend! The best thing about our stay was the location (it was so peaceful and my daughter loved seeing all the animals) and how everything was provided making it a very easy stay – even with a 1 year old! We had absolutely everything we could need. We would love to come back and will look for another excuse to book soon!

Everything was wonderful, shepherds hut was so cute and well equipped, we made use of games and had a relaxing night playing Trivial Pursuit. We enjoyed the animals and had a walk in the surrounding area – ultimately very peaceful and relaxing and just what we were looking for. So pleased to have found somewhere quirky that would accommodate a one night stay (only one I found on the internet).

Beautiful hut, beautiful setting. Incredible attention to detail. Everything you could need in 5 square metres. Great setup outside for eating and sunset firepits. Very comfy bed too! Just a big thank you for a great stay.

Brilliant hub to explore, secluded but perfect for what I needed. Beautiful autumnal woodland and access to the Downs, really cosy in the [shepherds hut] with everything to hand. Lovely setting and silent nights, all round a winner really. It was exactly what I thought it would be, well done it’s bang on!

We loved the woodburner! It kept us nice and cosy throughout our stay. Such a nice feature. We also loved our eggs and apple juice which we had for breakfast. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Everything was spotless, and our hut was so cosy we didn’t want to leave! We loved the fact that we could open the top of the door while the fire crackled, and were still warm! Also loved the views. Will definitely be returning and will recommend! And a big thank you to Dave! We will be back to walk the alpacas, we loved feeding/walking the sheep.

Dave was absolutely wonderful with my 5 year old. She has had the most amazing experiences. Our best holiday EVER (and we went to Disneyland Paris last month). Thank you for an amazing holiday. Perfectly clean, luxurious, exciting! We are coming back in July!

I had THE BEST NIGHT’S SLEEP! How beautiful and idyllic this place is – dreamy surroundings, trees, sheep, green for miles. The tents are gorgeous and equipped with everything you need – extra chairs, blankets, cushions and fairy lights for atmosphere. A wonderful evening by the fire pit gazing up at the stars! Dinner at the picnic bench watching the sun go down, waking up with the sunrise to the sound of crows and roosters followed by a shower in beautifully clean facilities. For me, it was perfection. I wouldn’t alter anything. This has been my favourite getaway of all. Thank you so much for making this so! 10/10

Peaceful and cosy and excellent amenities. Good walking and good wet weather things to in local area. Easy check-in. great to have games and walking maps for guests to use. And we loved the eggs, milk, and apple juice. All spot on, thank you!
