For the first time ever, Highway Hill are now offering the opportunity to pitch your own tent up on our Windmill Hill field and enjoy the beautiful surroundings in this Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. With only four pitch your own plots along with the two bell tent units, this is the perfect secluded location for a relaxing and rejuvenating break this summer. All plots have their own BBQ/fire-pit, so whether you want to cook up a storm or enjoy the fire in the evenings, we have you covered.
Our pop up Windmill Hill site has hot showers and brand spanking new portable style toilets, all for your convenience whilst staying with us. There is a small communal outdoor kitchen where you can prepare food, cook and wash up. Our ‘pièce de résistance’ is our large communal fire-pit, perfect for chatting with friends, old and new, and making the most of the wonderful great outdoors.
Please note we have minimal power up on the hill as we try to remain as off-grid as possible, but there will be charging points for mobile phones in the communal area. As the site is temporary and we strive to make minimal impact on the land, we kindly ask guests to take their rubbish away with them where possible.
Our pitch your own plots are available on weeknights on a 2 night minimum basis (Mon-Weds, Weds-Fri) and at the weekend for a 3 night minimum (Fri-Mon). We of course welcome longer bookings!
