If cream teas and shopping are your thing, the nearby market towns of Devizes and Marlborough offer both whilst, for culture buffs, the Georgian-Roman splendour of Bath is only 45 minutes away. Why not head to Lacock Abbey, where Harry Potter was filmed, or grab a picnic and spend the day at Bowood House; with its awesome adventure playground and gardens designed by Capability Brown.
